Football Game Preview: McDonell Central Macks vs. Cornell Chiefs

McDonell Central has gone a perfect 3-0 against Cornell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Macks will welcome the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

McDonell Central had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Gilman put an end to it on Friday. The Macks lost 38-12 to the Pirates. The contest marked the Macks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Cornell scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were dealt a 58-27 defeat at the hands of Siren.

Having lost for the first time this season, McDonell Central fell to 4-1. As for Cornell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for McDonell Central against Cornell in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 51-0 victory. Will the Macks repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
