Volleyball Recap: Cambridge Comes Up Short

Cambridge suffered their biggest loss since October 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Marshall Cardinals. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Cambridge took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-13, 25-23.

Ana Lothe paced Cambridge's offense, picking up seven kills. Lothe got some help from Addison Jerman and her 12 assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Cambridge and nudges their season record down to 13-6. As for Marshall, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Cambridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wisconsin Heights on the 18th. As for Marshall, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Waterloo on the 18th.
