Baseball Recap: Templeton Comes Up Short

Templeton fell victim to Arroyo Grande and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arroyo Grande. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, Templeton's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Nate Argain was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

Templeton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Arroyo Grande, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Templeton will challenge Hanford West at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hanford West will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Templeton surely won't give up without a fight. As for Arroyo Grande, they will square off against Clovis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Arroyo Grande's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Clovis' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
