Football Recap: Jaylen Arnold Leads Overhills' Defense on Friday + How To Watch

Overhills needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Clarence Teewia. The Jaguars took down the Hoke County Bucks 24-6 on Friday for which the team can thank Teewia, who rushed for 98 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 61 yards.

One reason for the win was Overhills' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Jaylen Arnold was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another thorn in Hoke County's side was Zi'mire Graham, who forced one fumble, made 11 total tackles, and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

The victory got Overhills back to even at 3-3. As for Hoke County, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Overhills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-29 defeat against Pinecrest on the 10th. As for Hoke County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 27-8 win against Pine Forest on the 10th.
