Soccer Recap: Burlington Comes Up Short

Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Champlain Valley Union Redhawks. While losing is never fun, Burlington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont soccer rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Champlain Valley Union are ranked first).

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Champlain Valley Union, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0-1.

Coming up, Burlington is taking a road trip to take on Colchester at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Champlain Valley Union, they will challenge Burr & Burton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
