Cali Masters made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Bullman, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Brylee McGrady was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
St. Marys pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Williamstown, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Williamstown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .378. However, it's not like St. Marys struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
