Volleyball Recap: Bellarmine College Prep Comes Up Short

Bellarmine College Prep lost against Archbishop Mitty back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bells took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monarchs.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Archbishop Mitty scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 25-21.

Defeat or not, Bellarmine College Prep got some senior leadership from Jake Berenguer and Mathias Correa. Berenguer had four digs and two aces, while Correa had nine digs.

Bellarmine College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-15 record this season. As for Archbishop Mitty, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 32-2.

Coming up, Bellarmine College Prep will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Junipero Serra at 6:00 p.m. Archbishop Mitty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
