Basketball Recap: Scotus Skates Past Humphrey-Lindsay with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Scotus). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs 76-33. The Shamrocks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Humphrey-Lindsay still got an impressive performance from Owen Kurtenbach, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Scotus is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Scotus will venture away from home to face off against Lincoln Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, they and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will face off at 7:45 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Humphrey-Lindsay is facing Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at the right time seeing as Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
