Softball Game Preview: Sneads Pirates vs. Marianna Bulldogs

Sneads is 1-9 against Marianna since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Marianna took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sneads, who comes in off a win.

While Sneads' victory against Malone wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Tigers 4-3. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Marianna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Liberty County, falling 17-1.

Marianna's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Sneads, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.

Sneads suffered a grim 13-2 defeat to Marianna when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
