Volleyball Recap: River Valley Falcons vs. Nevada Union Miners
River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Nevada Union Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.
While River Valley ultimately came up short, they really made Nevada Union work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 28-26, 25-21.
Jada Barr paced River Valley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Barr got some help from Alexa Campos and her 25 assists. Barr was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Nevada Union, they pushed their record up to 13-14 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. River Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Twelve Bridges at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nevada Union will face off against rival Del Campo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
