Basketball Recap: Pekin Takes a Loss

Pekin lost against Morton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pekin Dragons came up short against the Morton Potters, falling 57-34. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Potters are ranked 13th).

Pekin's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Morton, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Pekin will venture away from home to face off against Metamora at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Morton, they will host Limestone at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
