Volleyball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Bellaire Cardinals. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Westside started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-19.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Bellaire, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Westside will face off against rival Houston Math Science & Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bellaire is set to challenge their familiar foe Cesar E. Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
