McIntosh had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the River Ridge Knights on Saturday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Chiefs as they're now sitting on five straight.

While McIntosh won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-22.

Claudia Meditz paced McIntosh's offense, picking up 18 kills. Meditz got some help from Braelyn Ottolini and her 17 assists. Mya Conley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why River Ridge lost, don't look at Olivia Philpot. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs. Philpot is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

McIntosh's victory bumped their record up to 39-9. As for River Ridge, their loss ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 28-8.

Coming up, McIntosh will take on South Effingham at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. River Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
