Soccer Recap: Rivera Comes Up Short

Rivera lost against Edcouch-Elsa back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rivera Raiders fell just short of the Edcouch-Elsa Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Rivera and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-1 record this season.

Coming up, Rivera will head out on the road to challenge Lopez at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edcouch-Elsa, they will be playing at home against Pace at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Edcouch-Elsa is facing Pace at the right time seeing as Pace is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
