Basketball Recap: Cade Kaiser Key Part of a Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Columbus North, Batesville was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-44 win over the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Batesville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade Kaiser, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Kaiser a new career-high in boards. James Hughes was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Batesville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Jac-Cen-Del, they now also have a losing record at 4-5.

Batesville will take on South Ripley at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jac-Cen-Del, they will welcome Batesville at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
