Basketball Recap: Elysian Fields Takes a Loss

Elysian Fields was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 64-15 loss at the hands of the Timpson Bears. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.

Timpson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maliah Norris led the charge by dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 11 boards, and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Norris a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayt Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals.

Elysian Fields' loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Timpson, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Elysian Fields will be playing at home against Tenaha at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tenaha will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Elysian Fields surely won't give up without a fight. As for Timpson, they will head out to face off against Beckville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Timpson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
