Basketball Game Preview: Dallastown Wildcats vs. Red Lion Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dallastown Wildcats face off against the Red Lion Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday... Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Dallastown sitting on five straight wins and Red Lion on four.

On Monday, Dallastown didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Spring Grove, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.

Meanwhile, Red Lion strolled past Northeastern with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 55-41. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 635th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dallastown has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Red Lion, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Dallastown ended up a good deal behind Red Lion when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 58-41. Can Dallastown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
