Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Sets Scoring Season-High Against Novi

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Catholic Central). They walked away with a 77-67 victory over the Novi Wildcats on Friday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Shamrocks' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Wildcats are ranked 16th).

Catholic Central's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12. As for Novi, they moved to 20-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Catholic Central will be taking part in a tournament against Brighton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Catholic Central has given up an average of 61.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Novi does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
