Manhattan scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Emporia, 6-3. At the time, the Spartans were ranked 25th in the state, while the Indians were 61st.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Manhattan, who took down 25th ranked Emporia, 6-3.

Shawnee Heights's dynamic duo of Taymon Grabauskas and Colt Kennedy proved to be unstoppable against Schlagle, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Grabauskas threw for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns and Kennedy had 79 yards receiving. Austen Hubert helped Shawnee Heights' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 60 yards.

The Thunderbirds' dynamic duo of Grabauskas and Kennedy proved tough for the Stallions to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Grabauskas put up the best numbers in passing as Shawnee Heights defeated Schlagle.

Kennedy was the best receiver in Centennial this week as Jason Swift's team topped Tim Dorian's team.

Michael Singer was the best running back in the league this week. In 16 carries, he ran for 127 yards as Washburn Rural topped the Stallions. Michael Meenen also contributed to the rushing game with 125 yards on the ground.

Brandon Quy made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Blues bested Highland Park. The 6-foot-0 senior.

Shawnee Heights' Grabauskas and Kennedy have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Grabauskas has thrown for 268 yards this season, while Kennedy has 7 catches for 90 yards. Singer from Washburn Rural leads the league in rushing with 127 yards.

The top two teams in Centennial will face off this week when first place West takes on second place Topeka.

Meenen of Steve Buhler's team ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against the Scots last week.
