On Sunday, Bishop O'Connell faced Paul VI in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Bishop O'Connell Knights had to suffer through a 77-31 loss at the hands of the Paul VI Panthers. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Bishop O'Connell got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Eva Robertson and Daniya Brown, who each put up six points.

Bishop O'Connell's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Paul VI, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Bishop O'Connell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-20 loss against Bishop McNamara on the 16th. As for Paul VI, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-51 victory against Our Lady of Good Counsel on the 14th.
