Volleyball Recap: Northside Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Northside Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ben Lippen Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

Northside Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

Ben Lippen can attribute much of their success to Avery Bonner, who had 14 digs and four assists. With that strong performance, Bonner is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Northside Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ben Lippen, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northside Christian Academy will challenge rival Cardinal Newman at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ben Lippen is set to take on their familiar foe Hammond at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
