Baseball Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

After flying high against Karns City last Friday, Freeport came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mars Fightin' Planets on Monday. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Fightin' Planets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mars, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeport will welcome Deer Lakes at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Mars, they will be playing at home against Highlands at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
