Soccer Recap: Hillsboro Takes a Loss

After flying high against North Mac on Thursday, Hillsboro came back down to earth. The Hiltoppers fell just short of the Jacksonville Crimsons by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for Hillsboro in their meetings with Jacksonville: they've now lost three in a row.

Hillsboro's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Jacksonville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-9-1 record this season.

Hillsboro wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 9-0 defeat against Litchfield on the 29th. As for Jacksonville, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Sacred Heart-Griffin on the 29th.
