After a string of nine wins, Menlo School's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Sequoia Ravens by a score of 2-1. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ravens apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Menlo School saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Widner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Menlo School's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Sequoia, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Looking ahead, Menlo School will challenge Half Moon Bay at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sequoia, they will face off against Sacred Heart Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ravens 3.8, the Gators 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
