Basketball Recap: Eminence Warriors vs. Owen County Rebels
The Eminence Warriors lost against the Owen County Rebels back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eminence had to suffer through a rough 50-16 loss at the hands of the Rebels. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eminence has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Eminence struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Eminence has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Owen County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eminence won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Bearcats at 3:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Beth Haven is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Owen County, they will be playing at home against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trimble County is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
