Carterville wins going away against Graves County

On Saturday, Carterville never let their opponents score. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Graves County Eagles. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Carterville considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Caidence Phillips and Lacie Carr were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Phillips kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Carr tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also didn't allow any walks). At bat, Phillips went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double, while Carr went 2-for-3 with a home run and a double.

In other batting news, Colbie Bennett was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Rushing, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Carterville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Graves County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Carterville will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Livingston Central at 3:00 p.m. As for Graves County, they will challenge Ballard Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
