Highland is 8-2 against Gilbert since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Highland will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Monday, Highland beat Desert Ridge 3-1.

Highland had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Gilbert and Higley have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Tigers came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. The Tigers have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Higley scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-20.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 26-9. As for Gilbert, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Everything went Highland's way against Gilbert in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Highland made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
