Recap: Crown Point Bulldogs vs. Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles
Even though the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, the Crown Point Bulldogs still came out on top. Crown Point took down Lake Station Edison 71-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crown Point also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Ava Ziolkowski continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 41 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Crown Point's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gia Gagianas, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Crown Point has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Lake Station Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crown Point will take on Valparaiso at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Valparaiso focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday. As for Lake Station Edison, they will be playing at home against Wheeler at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
