Trinity Christian is headed into Saturday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Lake Country Christian, falling 52-32. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 964th, while Lake Country Christian is ranked 317th).

Meanwhile, Lubbock Christian had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past the Eagles 61-22. With Lubbock Christian ahead 46-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Lubbock Christian's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points over those games. As for Trinity Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Trinity Christian was dealt a bruising 75-28 defeat at the hands of Lubbock Christian in their previous meeting two weeks ago. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Trinity Christian was down 49-16.
