Monticello's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pinnacle Panthers by a score of 35-27. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 36-33 back in January.

Monticello's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenna Peterson led the charge by putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and six steals. What's more, Peterson also posted five assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Braylee Freestone was another key player, scoring 12 points and seven boards.

Monticello picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-18. As for Pinnacle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

As of now, neither Monticello nor Pinnacle have any future games scheduled.
