Baseball Game Preview: Lenoir City Panthers vs. Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors

The Lenoir City Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Christian Academy of Knoxville Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lenoir City has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Lenoir City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Bearden on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Christian Academy of Knoxville faced Lebanon in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Christian Academy of Knoxville came up short against Lebanon, falling 12-3. That makes it the first time this season the Warriors have let down their home crowd.

Tyler Bennett made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 6-2-1. As for Lenoir City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Lenoir City suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Christian Academy of Knoxville in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can Lenoir City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
