Softball Preview: East Nicolaus Spartans vs. Willows Honkers
East Nicolaus has gone a perfect 10-0 against Willows recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the Honkers at 4:00 p.m. East Nicolaus is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
On Friday, East Nicolaus was able to grind out a solid win over Durham, taking the game 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.
Stevie Knight spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.
