Baseball Recap: Glenn Victorious

While Glenn's win against River Forest wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Ingots 6-5. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Glenn let Brayden Benwell and Mekhi Pulluaim run wild. Benwell went 3-for-4 with one run and one double, while Pulluaim went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Pulluaim a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Glenn and bumps their season record up to 3-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for River Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Glenn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-2 loss against DeKalb on the 19th. As for River Forest, they have also already played their next matchup, an 8-3 win against Tippecanoe Valley on the 19th.
