Centennial lost to Organ Mountain back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Centennial Hawks were the clear victor by a 58-36 margin over the Organ Mountain Knights. The Hawks pushed the score to 46-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Centennial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joy Hunt, who went 6 of 12 to rack up 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Carli Nunez, who posted nine points along with five boards and three steals.

Centennial was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Organ Mountain only posted four assists.

Siena Gonzales and Gabriela Abeyta certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gonzales went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points and three steals, while Abeyta had five points. Abeyta is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games she's played.

Centennial is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season. As for Organ Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Centennial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-43 defeat against Las Cruces on the 3rd. As for Organ Mountain, they have also already played their next game, a 55-31 loss against Mayfield on the 3rd.
