After a string of three wins, Farmville Central's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Greene Central Rams by a score of 4-3. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 7-3.

Farmville Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Vandiford, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Farmville Central's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Greene Central, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

When Farmville Central and Greene Central next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Jaguars will take on Reidsville and their three-game winning streak at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Greene Central will try to stop Bear Grass Charter's 13-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
