Basketball Recap: Gateway Takes a Loss

Gateway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eustis Panthers. While losing is never fun, Gateway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Eustis is ranked 87th).

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Eustis, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Gateway will square off against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.9 points per game this season. As for Eustis, they will challenge Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
