Volleyball Recap: Josey Eagles vs. Johnson Panthers
Josey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Johnson Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Thursday.
The final score came out to 25-7, 25-6.
Johnson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Langley Neal, who had 13 aces. Those 13 aces gave Neal a new career-high. Maggie Wells was another key player, getting seven aces.
Josey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Johnson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Josey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Lakeside on the 27th.
