Basketball Recap: Allen Comes Up Short

Allen and Flower Mound squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Allen had to settle for second. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flower Mound Jaguars. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 19th).

Allen's defeat dropped their record down to 22-15. As for Flower Mound, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 30-4.

Allen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Flower Mound, they will square off against Richardson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Flower Mound has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 170 points over their last three contests.
