Baseball Recap: 13 Straight Home Victories for South Walton

South Walton waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Donelson Christian Academy Wildcats as they made off with an 18-8 victory. The result was nothing new for the Seahawks, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Jace Cunningham was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Frank Wells and Cameron Tipton-Thomas did most of the damage at the plate: Wells scored five runs and stole Three bases. while going 4-for-4, while Tipton-Thomas scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Wells a new career-high in runs. Coleman Borthwick was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

South Walton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
