Softball Game Preview: Amboy Clippers vs. Milledgeville Missiles

The Amboy Clippers will head out on the road to face off against the Milledgeville Missiles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Amboy has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Amboy managed to slip by Indian Creek the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Clippers came up short against the Timberwolves on Monday, falling 12-3. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Milledgeville and Durand, and Milledgeville kept the tradition alive. The Missiles put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-0 win on Monday. Considering the Missiles have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Milledgeville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Amboy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14-1.
