Baseball Recap: Capital Comes Up Short

Capital entered their game against River Ridge on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered since May 5, 2025.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for River Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

Coming up, Capital will take on Tumwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for River Ridge, they are taking a road trip to take on North Thurston at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
