It was a good run, but Pope unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the South Forsyth War Eagles by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Pope came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked tenth, while South Forsyth are ranked 93rd).

Pope's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for South Forsyth, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Looking ahead, Pope will head out on the road to square off against Creekview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Forsyth, they will be playing at home against North Gwinnett at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
