Softball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Grace Christian Academy's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Walker Valley Mustangs on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rams have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Grace Christian Academy got a good showing from Brooke Million, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the fewest hits Million has allowed since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Hayden Hill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Hannah Hodges, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Grace Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Walker Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Grace Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-8 victory against Knoxville Catholic on the 11th. As for Walker Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Brookwood on the 11th.
