Recap: Beaufort Academy Eagles vs. Bethesda Academy
The Beaufort Academy Eagles lost against Bethesda Academy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Beaufort Academy was the victim of a rough 58-37 defeat at the hands of Bethesda Academy. Beaufort Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Bethesda Academy to victory were Jacari Mckay and Ashton Wright. Mckay scored 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Wright dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. Mckay hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Reynolds, who scored four points.
Beaufort Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Bethesda Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-5.
Beaufort Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-41 win vs. Thomas Heyward Academy on the 12th. Bethesda Academy has also already played their next contest, a 59-44 defeat against Hilton Head Prep on the 10th.
