Baseball Recap: Lancaster Mennonite Comes Up Short

If Lancaster Mennonite was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of La Academia Charter last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lancaster Mennonite fell just short of the Tulpehocken Trojans by a score of 4-2 on Monday. The Blazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lancaster Mennonite saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Westin Rhine, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lancaster Mennonite's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tulpehocken, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lancaster Mennonite will square off against Antietam at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tulpehocken, they will face off against Berks Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
