Preview: North Mason Bulldogs vs. Bainbridge Spartans

North Mason has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Bainbridge Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully North Mason focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.

North Mason pushed their score all the way to 79, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 80-79 to Olympic. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (64), North Mason still had to take the loss.

North Mason's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrew Littrean, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, and Cole McCormick who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. It was the first time this season that McCormick scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Dunham, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

Meanwhile, Bainbridge ended up a good deal behind the Knights on Tuesday and lost 66-48. Bainbridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Mason has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Bainbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

North Mason came up short against the Spartans in their previous meeting back in January, falling 71-63. Can North Mason avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
