The Seacrest Country Day Stingrays will head out to face off against the Lely Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seacrest Country Day is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between Seacrest Country Day and Community School of Naples, and Seacrest Country Day kept the tradition alive. The Stingrays came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seahawks on Tuesday, sneaking past 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Stingrays have posted against the Seahawks since March 29, 2022.

Caroline Porter made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dailin 'D' Delgado, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jolie Booth, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Lely couldn't beat Naples on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the second inning. The Trojans fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 11-10.
Brooke Bledsoe made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeeznie Marcelin, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs.
Lely's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Seacrest Country Day, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Everything went Seacrest Country Day's way against Lely in their previous matchup on April 3rd, as Seacrest Country Day made off with a 12-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Stingrays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
