Basketball Recap: Chickasha Comes Up Short

After flying high against Little Axe back in December of 2024, Chickasha came back down to earth. The Chickasha Fighting Chicks took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingfisher Yellowjackets on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Fighting Chicks in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost eight in a row.

Chickasha's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Kingfisher, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chickasha will challenge Plainview at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingfisher, they will take on Newcastle at 8:00 p.m. on January 14th.
