Recap: Oak Grove Grizzlies vs. North Davidson Black Knights
The Oak Grove Grizzlies waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They walked away with a 58-46 win over North Davidson. That's another feather in the cap for Oak Grove, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Trista Charles continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Victoria Lockamy, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, North Davidson still got an impressive performance from Kyndall Moore, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds. Madison McNair was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with nine rebounds.
Oak Grove has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for North Davidson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Oak Grove will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ledford at 6:00 p.m. Oak Grove is coming into the matchup with six straight victories at home, so Ledford is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for North Davidson, they will head out on the road to face off against Asheboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Asheboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while North Davidson is ranked 185th).
