Preview: Windsor Locks Raiders vs. Suffield Wildcats
The Windsor Locks Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Suffield Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Windsor Locks had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Somers by a score of 60-47 on Wednesday.
Windsor Locks' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sincere Monroe, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Hinckley, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Stafford scored an imposing 61 points on Wednesday, Suffield still came out on top. Suffield snuck past Stafford with a 65-61 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Suffield.
Windsor Locks' win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Suffield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Windsor Locks was able to grind out a solid win over Suffield in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 66-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Windsor Locks since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
